Maltexco prepares its malts from certified barley grown in the central and south zones of Chile, which are noted for their very similar climatic conditions to northern Europe. The company has an agricultural department that monitors and supervises the whole barley crop cycle, from sowing to harvesting, ensuring the traceability of our products.

Barley soaking and germination conditions are carefully monitored to achieve an even germination and a homogeneous malting. Following the drying process, malted barley is obtained of a quality, colour and aroma only comparable with the best European malts, which is widely recognized by the market.

The malt is packed in polypropylene bags with polyethylene inner bag containing 50 kilos net. It is also sold in bulk in truck, container or ship's hold.
